IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. 2025-033 RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO INCREASE THE NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT FOR THE “AGREEMENT FOR THE TRANSFER OF 911 CALLS BETWEEN ALAMEDA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE (ACSO) AND SAN LEANDRO POLICE DEPARTMENT (SLPD)” BY $51,472.92 FOR A TOTAL NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT OF $351,472.92 WHEREAS, 9-1-1 is the nationally recognized telephone number for the public to report police, fire, or medical emergencies; and WHEREAS, on April 15, 2024, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2024-036 to contract with the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) for the transfer of 9-1-1 calls between SLPD and ACSO; and WHEREAS, additional funds are needed to pay for services incurred in August 2024 through January 2025, when the services were terminated by the City because the City had substantially achieved its public safety dispatch staffing goal; and WHEREAS, the agreement will be funded from existing salary savings resulting in no impact to the undesignated fund balance; and WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of the increase. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council does RESOLVE that the City Manager is authorized to increase the not to exceed amount by $51,472.92 for the “Agreement for the Transfer of 911 Calls Between Alameda County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) and San Leandro Police Department (SLPD)” for a total not to exceed amount of $351,472.92.
