IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2025-033 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO INCREASE THE <br />NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT FOR THE “AGREEMENT FOR THE TRANSFER OF 911 CALLS BETWEEN <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE (ACSO) AND SAN LEANDRO POLICE DEPARTMENT (SLPD)” <br />BY $51,472.92 FOR A TOTAL NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT OF $351,472.92 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, 9-1-1 is the nationally recognized telephone number for the public to report police, <br />fire, or medical emergencies; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on April 15, 2024, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2024-036 to contract with <br />the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) for the transfer of 9-1-1 calls between SLPD and ACSO; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, additional funds are needed to pay for services incurred in August 2024 through <br />January 2025, when the services were terminated by the City because the City had substantially <br />achieved its public safety dispatch staffing goal; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the agreement will be funded from existing salary savings resulting in no impact to the <br />undesignated fund balance; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of the increase. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council does RESOLVE that the City Manager is authorized to <br />increase the not to exceed amount by $51,472.92 for the “Agreement for the Transfer of 911 Calls <br />Between Alameda County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) and San Leandro Police Department (SLPD)” for a total <br />not to exceed amount of $351,472.92. <br /> <br />Introduced by Mayor González and passed and adopted this 7th day of April 2025 by the <br />following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Aguilar, Azevedo, Boldt, Bowen, Simon, Viveros-Walton, Mayor González (7) <br /> <br />NOES: None (0) <br /> <br />ABSENT: None (0) <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> Kelly B.
