Consulting Services Agreement between City of San Leandro and Denalect for Mulford Library Fire Alarm Exhibit A 3 February 2025 Page A2 of 3 Scope of Work Provide a complete and operational fire alarm system in accordance with the applicable California Building and Fire Code requirements. Denalect shall provide all necessary deferred submittal permit documents and coordinate with the Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), including the City of San Leandro Building Department and Alameda County Fire District (AVFD) for approval. Alarm system work shall be compatible with the building construction drawings. A final U.L. Certificate will be provided at completion. The following equipment and materials are included in this scope of work: •One (1) Addressable Fire Alarm Control Panel •One (1) Fire alarm annunciator at the front entry •One (1) *AES Radio Fire alarm Transmitter •One (1) Control module for the AES radio transmitter •Twenty (20) Addressable Smoke Detectors •One (1) Addressable pull station •Ten (10) Horn/Strobes & Strobes •Two (2) W/P Exterior Horns •Two (2) W/P Exterior back boxes – surface mounted •Three (3) Monitor modules at locations of the sprinkler flow switch, tamper switch & Post Indicator Valve (PIV) •One (1) Fire alarm document box located at the fire alarm control panel location The above scope of work assumes the following: •Denalect will work directly under contract with the City of San Leandro, however, Denalect shall schedule field work in coordination with the City’s General Contractor. Denalect shall assign resources accordingly so as not to delay the project’s overall construction schedule. The project will be publicly bid and awarded to the general contractor with the lowest qualified bid. This project is anticipated to start construction around July 2025, with completion of the main building structure around March 2026. •The quoted scope of work for Parts 1 to 3 above is based on the 100% design development construction progress drawings prepared by Noll and Tam Architects dated June 28, 2024. •Denelect will install low voltage conductors only: Line voltage wiring and EMT conduits shall be provided by the City’s general contractor and electrical subcontractor. Includes Any and all conduit that may be needed or required by the Architect if they require fire alarm wiring to be run in conduit •City’s general contractor and electrical subcontractor shall provide a dedicated 20amp circuit at the fire alarm panel location. •Denalect shall provide all related programming and field testing to ensure the system performs as intended. •Denalect to provide shop drawings and equipment submittals to the City Representative, Architect, and Building Department / ACFD for review and approval. •This fee is based on (1) submittal and does not include any additional submittal fees for additions by the ACFD or changes to the fire alarm design by the City.
