IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2025-045 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOGIATE AND EXECUTE 16 <br />AGREEMENTS WITH THE RECIPIENTS OF THE FISCAL YEAR 2026 AND FISCAL YEAR 2027 <br />COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE GRANT PROGRAM IN AN AMOUNT NOT-TO-EXCEED $320,000 PER FISCAL <br />YEAR IN BUDGETED GENERAL FUNDS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year 2026 and Fiscal Year 2027 Community Assistance Grant Program <br />provides $320,000 annually in General Fund support to nonprofit organizations delivering social services <br />to low-income San Leandro residents; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year 2026 and Fiscal Year 2027 Community Assistance Grant Program is <br />funded through a combination of $300,000 in one-time Fiscal Year 2025 General Fund monies (Account <br />010-63-014-5120) and $170,000 annually in the proposed Fiscal Years 2026 and 2027 budgets (Account <br />010-63-014-8513); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, programs funded from this grant, must meet an unmet service gap identified in the <br />Human Services Gap Analysis, with highest priority given to: severe/high-level mental and behavioral <br />health needs, family and youth services, domestic and intimate partner violence services, job <br />development, income support and employment services, and homelessness and housing insecurity <br />support; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the important work of the City's human services <br />community-based organizations in creating a safety net for the City's most vulnerable populations. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: <br /> <br />That the grant agreements and funding amounts are approved and the City Manager is authorized <br />to enter into Community Assistance Program grant agreements with the Recipients identified below, as <br />recommended by the City of San Leandro Human Services Commission, for a total amount not to exceed <br />$320,000 per fiscal year: <br /> <br />AGENCY GENERAL FUND ALLOCATION (PER FY) <br />Black Girls Mental Health Foundation $15,000.00 <br />Boys & Girls Club San Leandro $20,500.00 <br />Chicana Latina Foundation $15,000.00 <br />Davis Street Family Resource Center $23,500.00 <br />Day Break $20,500.00 <br />East Bay Agency for Children $20,500.00 <br />Families United $17,500.00 <br />Family Violence Law Center $23,500.00 <br />Front Porch $15,000.00 <br />Juniper Corner $15,000.00 <br />Korean Community Center of the East Bay $23,500.00
