IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. 2025-055 RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH CHAPLIN & HILL INVESTIGATIVE SERVICES LLC FOR THIRD-PARTY PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS INVESTIGATION SERVICES, TO INCREASE THE AMOUNT BY $150,000 FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $250,000 WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro contracts with Chaplin & Hill Investigative Services for third- party professional standards investigation services; and WHEREAS, December 1, 2023 the City Manager executed an agreement between the City of San Leandro and Chaplin & Hill Investigative Services for an amount not to exceed $100,000, with a term through June 30, 2024; and WHEREAS, Amendment No. 1 was executed to extend the term through June 30, 2026; and WHEREAS, additional funds are needed to cover both incurred and anticipated expenses related to investigations; and WHEREAS, the amendment will be funded from existing budget appropriations resulting in no impact to the undesignated fund balance; WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said amendment. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: That the amendment and increased amount to the total not to exceed amount of the contract is approved and the City Manager is authorized to execute Amendment No. 2 to the consulting services agreement with Chaplin & Hill Investigative Services, for a total amount not to exceed $250,000.
