IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. 2025-066 RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH LAZ PARKING FOR PARKING ENFORCEMENT SERVICES THROUGH JUNE 30, 2027 FOR A TOTAL NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT OF $1,006,140 WHEREAS, on April 1, 2019, the City Council authorized the City Manager to enter into a three-year agreement with SP Plus, for the provision of parking enforcement services, which expired June 30, 2022; and WHEREAS, in 2022, the City solicited proposals for parking enforcement services, and entered into a Consultant Services Agreement with LAZ Parking; and WHEREAS, the Consultant Services Agreement provides for a written extension of the Agreement and LAZ provided a proposal to continue parking enforcement Downtown and expand services to provide parking meter repair and maintenance and weekend parking enforcement at City parks for a total cost not-to-exceed $503,070 in Fiscal Year 2026 and $503,070 in Fiscal Year 2027; and WHEREAS, the Proposed Fiscal Year 2025-2026 and FY 2026-2027 Biennial Budget includes funding for parking enforcement in the Parking Fund (Fund 132); and WHEREAS, LAZ Parking has agreed to the terms of Amendment No. 1 pending Council approval; and WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents of the agreement; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, the City of San Leandro City Council hereby RESOLVES as follows: That said amendment to the agreement is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized.
