All construction contracts shall include the following <br />requirements: Maintain and tune all proposed equipment in accordance with the <br />manufacturer’s recommendations to minimize noise emission. <br />a. Unpaved construction sites shall be sprinkled with water at least twice per day; <br />b. Trucks hauling construction materials shall be covered with tarpaulins or other <br />effective covers; <br />c. Streets surrounding demolition and construction sites shall be swept at least <br />once per day; and <br />d. Paving and planting shall be done as soon as possible. The City shall charge the <br />Applicant/Owner, and the Applicant/Owner shall pay, for all costs of sweeping <br />city streets in the vicinity of the project as necessary to control dust and spillage. <br />37. Construction Facilities. Potable water and temporary sanitary facilities shall be <br />provided to workers during construction activities. Temporary sanitary facilities shall <br />be kept in a clean and odorless condition, secured, and located away from nearby <br />residences and businesses. <br />38. Compliance with Standards of Sanitation During Construction. The <br />Applicant/Owner shall comply with the following high standards of sanitation during <br />construction of improvements: garbage cans, construction dumpsters, and debris <br />piles shall be removed on a minimum weekly basis. All food related trash items such <br />as wrappers, cans, bottles, and food scraps shall be disposed of in closed <br />containers only and shall be regularly removed from the site. Inspections, conducted <br />as part of the regular construction compliance, will be conducted to ensure <br />compliance of the Applicant/Owner and contractors with these requirements. <br />39. Water Quality Control during Construction. All construction contracts shall <br />include the following requirements: <br />a. If currently <br />unknown historic/prehistoric artifacts or human remains are discovered during <br />ground disturbing activities, the following measures shall be implemented: A. <br />a. In compliance with State law (Section 7050.5 of the Health and Safety Code and <br />Section 5097.94 of the Public Resources Code), in the event that historical <br />artifacts are found, all work within 50 feet of the find shall stop and a qualified <br />archaeologist shall examine the find.
