IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2025-114 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONSULTING <br />SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH HR LAW CONSULTANTS FOR WORKPLACE INVESTIGATION SERVICES <br />THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2025 A TOTAL NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT OF $150,000 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a consulting services agreement exists with HR Law Consultants for workplace <br />investigation services through December 31, 2025 for a total not to exceed amount of $150,000; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, HR Law Consultants specializes in employment law advice and has extensive <br />experience in a wide range of complex workplace investigations; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, HR Law Consultants’ principal, Jane Kow, is an experienced workplace investigator with <br />over 25 years of experience who is licensed to practice law in the state of California <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City’s Self-Insurance Fund for Liability has sufficient funding to cover the <br />anticipated cost of the services; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents of the agreement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: <br /> <br />That said amendments to the agreement are hereby approved and execution by the City Manager <br />is hereby authorized. <br /> <br />Introduced by Councilmember Viveros-Walton and passed and adopted this 2nd day of September <br />2025 by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmember Azevedo, Boldt, Viveros-Walton, Mayor González (4) <br /> <br />NOES: None (0) <br /> <br />ABSENT: None (0) <br /> <br />RECUSED: Councilmember Aguilar, Bowen, Simon (3) <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> Kelly B.
