IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2025-XXX <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO.1 <br />TO A CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH THE ALEX GREENWOOD GROUP FOR ECONOMIC <br />DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY IMPLEMENTATION AND OTHER ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />CONSULTING FOR A NEW TOTAL NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT OF $157,000 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council adopted the 2024 Economic Development Strategy, which includes a <br />strategic vision, goals, strategies, and action steps to accelerate innovation and growth of target <br />industries, support transformative development opportunities, work to preserve industrial district and address <br />infrastructure needs, attract high-quality retail and support shopping districts, facilitate workforce development <br />and education opportunities, and support small businesses and entrepreneurs; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the 2024 Economic Development Strategy will guide economic development activities over <br />the next five to ten years; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the 2024 Economic Development Strategy articulates a clear vision and pathway for <br />economic development, in line with existing City Council policies and priorities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the continued services and expertise of the Alex Greenwood Group are necessary to support <br />Staff with the implementation of the goals and action steps set forth in the 2024 Economic Development <br />Strategy; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the total cost for the amended professional services agreement shall not exceed <br />$157,000; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Community Development Department has sufficient funding in its Fiscal Year <br />2024-2025 adopted budget to cover this contractual obligation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: <br /> <br />That Amendment No. 1 to the Consulting Services Agreement is approved and the City Manager is <br />hereby authorized to execute the amendment with the Alex Greenwood Group for the Implementation of <br />the Economic Development Strategy and other consulting in an amount not to exceed $157,000. <br /> <br />Introduced by _______________ and passed and adopted this 2nd day of June 2025 by the following <br />vote: <br /> <br />AYES: () <br /> <br />NOES: () <br /> DRAFT
