Page 3 of 9 <br />About the report <br />Each board or commission has a staff member who acts as its secretary. Secretaries track <br />attendance and send the information to the City Clerk’s Office. The City Clerk’s Office uses <br />this data to create a yearly report for the City Council. <br />Attendance policy <br />The City Council Member Handbook establishes the meeting attendance policy for <br />members of boards and commissions: <br />1. Members of boards or commissions shall be required to attend not less than 75% of <br />all regular meetings held; <br />2. Failure by a member to attend three consecutive regular meetings of a board or <br />commission will be cause for Council declaring the member’s position vacant; <br />3. Attendance records will be reviewed by the City Council once a year based on the <br />previous12-month period, except for appointments effective July 1st or thereafter. 1 <br />If a member is unable to attend a meeting, the secretary or chairperson must be notified <br />before the meeting.2 <br />Report parameters <br />This report covers the period of May 2024 to April 2025.
