Staff <br />recommends amending the existing agreement to extend security services at all City facilities <br />through June 30, 2026, and to continue the increased service hours at the Senior Community <br />Center to 8.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday. This second amendment increases the total <br />contract amount by $162,584, bringing the total contract value to $342,584. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS <br />Staff recommend that the City Council approve and authorize the City Manager to execute <br />Amendment No. 2 to the Non-Professional Services Agreement with ANI Private Security and <br />Patrol, Inc.to continue providing contracted security services at City facilities . <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City of San Leandro has contracted with private security firms to provide security services for <br />rental events at the Marina Community Center and Senior Community Center since 2011. In <br />2025, services increased to provide coverage Monday through Friday during business hours at <br />the Senior Community Center. <br />In June 2021, as part of the limited reopening of City facilities, ANI Private Security and Patrol, <br />Inc. was contracted to provide front desk security at City Hall to manage visitor check-ins. A <br />security officer has also been stationed at the Lorraine Blvd. entrance to City Hall, assisting with <br />customer service, facility patrols, and enforcement of safety regulations. <br />Analysis <br />Staff recommend extending the agreement with ANI Private Security and Patrol, Inc . for one <br />Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 9/4/2025
