This urban tree canopy assessment utilized publicly available urban tree canopy data created by Earth Define, <br />based on 2078 National Agriculture Imagery Program (NAIP) aerial imagery and LiDAR data collected by the <br />U.S. Geological Survey. The NAI P imagery was acquired during the growing season and included four spectral <br />bands (red , green, blue, and near infrared) at 60-cm spatial resolution. Results of this study indicate 8% canopy <br />cover citwide, and that most of this tree canopy coverage is in wea lthier neighborhoods in the northeast <br />quadrant of the City.
