IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2025-125 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A GRANT OF NON- <br />EXCLUSIVE UTILITY EASEMENT WITHIN CITY-OWNED PARCEL APN 079A-515-1-17 LOCATED NEAR <br />THE CORNER OF DAVIS STREET AND DOOLITTLE DRIVE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro (the “City”) is the owner of certain real property (the <br />“Easement Area”) located at Doolittle Drive and Davis Street adjacent to 1251 Doolittle Drive, Parcel No. <br />1, APN 079A-515-1-17 within the City of San Leandro as more particularly described in Exhibit “A” and <br />Exhibit “B” to the Easement Agreement, which is attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by <br />this reference; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) desires to construct, install and maintain a utility <br />distribution easement across the Easement Area to increase system capacity to meet current and future <br />energy demands of public and private facilities in the surrounding area, as necessary within certain City- <br />owned property; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the approximately 1,679 square foot wide strip easement is necessary for placing <br />certain underground cable and replacement of overhead fuse primary with an overhead switch to <br />increase system capacity; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City is providing the Easement Area at the fair market value cost of $6,500 as <br />compensation for the non-exclusive easement to be acquired at this time. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: <br /> <br />1. That the City hereby approves the proposed easement agreement; and <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the Easement on behalf of the <br />City; and <br /> <br />3. Staff is authorized to record said document in the Office of the Recorder of Alameda County. <br /> <br />Introduced by Councilmember Viveros-Walton and passed and adopted this 6th day of October <br />2025 by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmember Aguilar, Azevedo, Boldt, Bowen, Simon, Viveros-Walton, Mayor González (7) <br /> <br />NOES: None (0) <br /> <br />ABSENT: None (0) <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> Kelly B.
