IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2025-149 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT AND APPROPRIATE $2,000,000 IN GRANT FUNDS FROM THE ALAMEDA <br />COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION FOR THE BANCROFT AVENUE AND WILLIAMS STREET <br />CROSSTOWN CORRIDOR PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Alameda County Transportation Commission ("Alameda CTC") administers funding <br />programs consisting of Vehicle Registration Fee, Measure BB, Transportation Fund for Clean Air, and <br />federal One Bay Area Grant Cycle 3 Programs for projects and programs that benefit the Alameda County <br />transportation system, and such funding is collectively defined as and shall be referenced herein as the <br />"Alameda CTC Administered Funds"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City of San Leandro ("Fund Recipient") submitted a funding application to the <br />Alameda CTC requesting $2,000,000 in funding for Bancroft Avenue and Williams Street Bicycle Corridor <br />("Project") from the Alameda CTC' s programming and allocation process; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Project will upgrade the existing Class II bike lanes to physically separated class <br />IV bike lanes along the corridors of Bancroft Avenue and Williams Street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Alameda CTC awarded $2,000,000 in Alameda CTC Administered Funds for the <br />implementation and delivery of the Project to the Fund Recipient; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: <br /> <br />1. That the City of San Leandro agrees to accept the award of $2,000,000 in Alameda CTC <br />administered funds; and <br /> <br />2. That the Project will be implemented as described in the Agreement and in this Resolution; <br />and <br /> <br />3. That an appropriation of $2,000,000 in Special Grants Fund to account #155-38-550 is hereby <br />authorized; and <br /> <br />4. That the City of San Leandro commits matching funds as described in the Agreement against <br />the awarded Alameda CTC Administered Funds by phase in the amount of $666,600 for the <br />Design Phase of the Project, anticipated to be from Federal Highway Infrastructure Program <br />grant funds. <br /> <br />Introduced by Vice Mayor Bowen and passed and adopted this 17th day of November 2025 by the <br />following vote: <br />AYES: Councilmember Aguilar, Azevedo, Boldt, Bowen, Simon, Viveros-Walton, and (7) <br />Mayor González <br />NOES: None (0)
