IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. 2025-159 RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH THE SAN LEANDRO IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION FOR MANAGEMENT AND OPERATION OF THE SAN LEANDRO CHERRY FESTIVAL, EXTENDING THE TERM THROUGH JUNE 30, 2026, AND INCREASING COMPENSATION BY AN ADDITIONAL $60,638, BRINGING THE TOTAL NOT-TO-EXCEED AMOUNT TO $173,688 WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro (“City”) and the San Leandro Improvement Association (“SLIA”) entered into an Agreement on December 19, 2023, for management and operation of the San Leandro Cherry Festival; and WHEREAS, the Agreement currently expires on June 30, 2025; and WHEREAS, the City desires to extend the term of the Agreement for one additional year to support planning, coordination, and execution of the 2026 San Leandro Cherry Festival; and WHEREAS, the proposed First Amendment extends the term through June 30, 2026, and increases total compensation by an additional $60,638, resulting in a new not-to-exceed amount of $173,388; and WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the Agreement and finds the terms of the First Amendment acceptable and consistent with the City’s procurement and contracting requirements. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: That the Amendment and the new not to exceed amount are approved and the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a First Amendment to the Agreement with the San Leandro Improvement Association, extending the term of the Agreement through June 30, 2026, and increasing compensation by an additional $60,638, for a new not-to-exceed amount of $173,388.
