IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2025-159 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A FIRST <br />AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH THE SAN LEANDRO IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION FOR <br />MANAGEMENT AND OPERATION OF THE SAN LEANDRO CHERRY FESTIVAL, EXTENDING THE TERM <br />THROUGH JUNE 30, 2026, AND INCREASING COMPENSATION BY AN ADDITIONAL $60,638, <br />BRINGING THE TOTAL NOT-TO-EXCEED AMOUNT TO $173,688 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro (“City”) and the San Leandro Improvement Association <br />(“SLIA”) entered into an Agreement on December 19, 2023, for management and operation of the San <br />Leandro Cherry Festival; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Agreement currently expires on June 30, 2025; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City desires to extend the term of the Agreement for one additional year to support <br />planning, coordination, and execution of the 2026 San Leandro Cherry Festival; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposed First Amendment extends the term through June 30, 2026, and <br />increases total compensation by an additional $60,638, resulting in a new not-to-exceed amount of <br />$173,388; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the Agreement and finds the terms of the First <br />Amendment acceptable and consistent with the City’s procurement and contracting requirements. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: <br /> <br />That the Amendment and the new not to exceed amount are approved and the City Manager is <br />hereby authorized to execute a First Amendment to the Agreement with the San Leandro Improvement <br />Association, extending the term of the Agreement through June 30, 2026, and increasing compensation <br />by an additional $60,638, for a new not-to-exceed amount of $173,388. <br /> <br />Introduced by Councilmember Viveros-Walton and passed and adopted this 1st day of December <br />2025 by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmember Aguilar, Azevedo, Boldt, Simon, Viveros-Walton, Mayor González (6) <br /> <br />NOES: None (0) <br /> <br />ABSENT: Vice Mayor Bowen (1) <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> Sarah K.
