City Hall <br />835 East 14th Street <br />San Leandro, California <br />City of San Leandro <br />Minutes <br />City Council <br />7:00 PM City Council Chambers <br />Access the meeting remotely by using this URL <br />https://zoom.us/j/506831637 <br />Monday, November 17, 2025 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />ROLL CALL <br />1. <br />Mayor Gonzalez called the meeting to order at 7:07 p.m. and led the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />Aguilar Jr., Azevedo, Simon, González III, Bowen, Viveros-Walton, BoldtPresent7 - <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS2. <br />Mayor González noted that Item 5l. was being removed from the agenda, as <br />the nominee was unable to accept her nomination to the Senior Commission. <br />Accordingly, no action would be taken on the item. <br />REPORT ON CLOSED SESSION ACTIONS TAKEN3. <br />City Attorney Pio Roda stated that no reportable action was taken in Closed Session. <br />He reported on behalf of the City Council that on the advice of the City's legal counsel, <br />the agenda item pertaining to waiver of attorney-client privilege was not placed on this <br />meeting agenda; that Council apologized for any confusion this may have caused; and <br />Council is working to cure a Brown Act issue related to the November 3, 2025 Council <br />action, which includes scheduling a special meeting to schedule the continuation of <br />the request for discipline by Vice Mayor Bowen. <br />RECOGNITIONS4. <br />4a.25-202 Proclamation Declaring Transgender Awareness Week & Transgender <br />Day of Remembrance <br />This matter was Presented <br />CONSENT CALENDAR5. <br />Approval of the Consent Calendar <br />Comments were made by three people. <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Aguilar, Jr., seconded by <br />Councilmember Bowen, to Approve the Consent Calendar.
