Docusign Envelope ID: 470A389C-76A9-42C9-AB02-2CE7BBA89E0C <br />EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />As part of the Age-Friendly San Leandro initiative, Tech Exchange will provide digital literacy classes, to <br />include computer and internet basics and cybersecurity, so adults aged 50 and over in the community can <br />participate more fully and more safely in social, economic, and civic arenas. This project supports the <br />Personal Protection and Social Connection priority areas of the Age-Friendly Action Plan. <br />Tech Exchange will provide foundational digital literacy classes for 20 to 30 individuals. This program is a <br />pilot initiative for an educational model that can be evaluated, improved, and replicated to serve many more <br />individuals in the years to come. The City will target service to lower-income individuals of color and people <br />with disabilities who are more likely to be without home computing devices and reliable internet service. <br />Tech Exchange will provide staff instruction (in-class and prep) hours for: <br />• 8 (eight) classes for up to 30 individuals <br />o Classes will cover computer and internet basics, cyber security, and overall digital literacy <br />topics through culturally inclusive instruction <br />o With support from local student volunteers, classes will be facilitated in multiple languages, <br />including English, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese <br />• 1 (one) tech support event <br />o Ideal event options include a tech support demonstration/space at the City's Senior <br />Services event (e.g., Senior Services Expo) <br />o Event participants are encouraged to bring their personal devices so they can work one- <br />on-one with trained staff to troubleshoot technical issues and user questions <br />• Program and data management <br />• Age-friend curriculum development <br />• Warehouse staff and materials costs to refurbish and provide laptops (or similar devices) to <br />participants <br />• Marketing, branding, and outreach campaign and materials (graphic design, logos, videos, etc.) <br />As part of this program, the City will provide: <br />• Classroom space at the San Leandro Senior Community Center <br />• Programming and event marketing, to include applications, social media posts, and flyers <br />• Senior Services staff time/salaries to oversee the project and engage residents <br />• Outreach to local youth serving organizations to promote these tech education learning cohorts as <br />valuable volunteer opportunities for students and youth. <br />Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a free (refurbished) laptop or similar device <br />(refurbished and donated by Tech Exchange). <br />Consulting Services Agreement between City of San Leandro and <br />Tech Exchange for Age Friendly Digital Literacy <br />Last revised 06/09/2025 <br />Exhibit A-Page 1 of 1 <br />Name Update: Oakland Tech Exchange <br />Oakland <br />Docusign Envelope ID: 43B9BEE4-7C19-4A64-B50A-DD29AE113B59
