IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. 2025-163 RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND ACCEPT THE FY 2025 AFFORDABLE HOUSING TRUST FUND REPORT WHEREAS, in 2004 the City of San Leandro (City) amended the Zoning Code to add Chapter 6.04 (formerly Article 30) for various purposes; and WHEREAS, the City seeks to encourage the development and availability of housing affordable to a broad range of households with varying income levels as mandated by State Law, California Government Code 65580 et. seq; and WHEREAS, the City seeks to increase the affordable housing stock in alignment with the City’s Housing Element goal; and WHEREAS, the City seeks to offset demand on housing that is created by new development and mitigate environmental and economic impacts of such development; and WHEREAS, the Section 6.04.156 of the City’s Inclusionary Housing Ordinance (Ordinance) established the Affordable Housing Trust Fund (AHTF) that receives all fees contributed under Section 6.04.124 for those residential developments that are subject to an In-Lieu Fee; and WHEREAS, the Ordinance requires the Community Development Director to provide an Annual Report to the City Council; and WHEREAS, California Government Code 66006 mandates that the City issue a report on fees collected. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: That the FY 2025 AHTF Report is hereby approved and attached to this resolution as Exhibit A, and that the City Council accepts the report.
