IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2026-041 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS <br />NECESSARY TO PURCHASE A MULCH BLOWER FOR THE PARKS AND URBAN FORESTRY DIVISION <br />OF THE RECREATION AND PARKS DEPARTMENT FOR A COST OF $112,771.19 AND AUTHORIZE A <br />CONTINGENCY DUE TO MARKET VOLATILITY OF UP TO $13,000 FOR A TOTALNOT TO EXCEED <br />AMOUNT OF $125,771.19 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a quote for the purchase of a Finn mulch material blower from Global Equipment has <br />been presented to this City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the equipment is being procured under Sourcewell Cooperative Purchasing Contract <br />No. 070821-FNN; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends the purchase of said equipment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, equipment pricing is subject to change due to market volatility, including supply chain <br />constraints and increased demand, and authorizing a contingency will help ensure timely procurement. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: <br /> <br />1. That the City Manager or her designee is hereby authorized to execute all documents <br />necessary to purchase a mulch blower from Global Machinery in an amount not to exceed <br />$125,771.19, which includes a base amount of $112,771.19 and a contingency of up to <br />$13,000; and <br /> <br />2. That the contingency amount shall only be utilized if required due to documented price <br />increases at the time of purchase, shall not exceed the total not-to -exceed amount authorized <br />herein, and shall not be used to expand the scope of work or procure additional equipment; <br />and <br /> <br />3. That the City Manager or her designee is authorized to execute all documents and take all <br />actions necessary to affect the intent and purpose of this Resolution. <br /> <br />Introduced by Councilmember James Aguilar and passed and adopted this 20th day of April 2026, <br />by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers J.
