April 20, 2026City Council Minutes <br />Ordinance Amending San Leandro Municipal Code Section 4-45-120 to <br />Revise the Rental Registration Filing Deadline from July 31, 2026 to <br />January 31, 2027 <br />Comments were made by 10 people. <br />A motion was made by Mayor Juan González III, seconded by Councilmember <br />Dylan Boldt, to adopt the resolution as amended (removing provisions relating <br />to the fee schedule and General Fund loan) and introduce the ordinance; and <br />directing staff to bring the remainder of items discussed back to the Council. <br />The motion CARRIED by the following vote: <br />Aye:Fred Simon, Juan González III, Xouhoa Bowen, Sbeydeh Viveros-Walton, <br />Dylan Boldt, James Aguilar <br />6 - <br />Absent:Victor Aguilar Jr.1 - <br />Enactment No: Reso 2026-044 & Ord 2026-002 <br />The City Council took a 10-minute recess at 9:09 p.m. <br />8b.26-074 Public Hearing to Comply with New Legal Obligations Required by <br />Government Code Section 3502.3 (Assembly Bill 2561) to Receive a <br />Report on City of San Leandro Vacancies, and Recruitment and <br />Retention Efforts <br />There were no public comments. <br />This matter was Presented <br />PRESENTATIONS9. <br />No items were scheduled. <br />ACTION ITEMS10. <br />No items were scheduled. <br />COUNCIL REQUESTS TO SCHEDULE AGENDA ITEMS11. <br />Councilmember Simon stated that he had submitted an item for consideration <br />by the Council pertaining to removing two items of interest (related to <br />disciplinary investigations) from the City's website. <br />CITY COUNCIL REPORTS, CALENDAR AND ANNOUNCEMENTS12. <br />City Councilmembers reported on attendance at intergovernmental agency meetings, <br />conferences, and seminars since the last meeting.
