IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2026-075 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 3 <br />TO THE CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH CHAPLIN & HILL INVESTIGATIVE SERVICES LLC <br />FOR THIRD-PARTY PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS INVESTIGATION SERVICES, TO INCREASE THE <br />AMOUNT BY $150,000 FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $400,000; AND EXTEND THE TERM <br />THROUGH JUNE 30, 2028 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro contracts with Chaplin & Hill Investigative Services for third- <br />party professional standards investigation services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, December 1, 2023 the City Manager executed an agreement between the City of San <br />Leandro and Chaplin & Hill Investigative Services for an amount not to exceed $100,000, with a term <br />through June 30, 2024; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Amendment No. 1 was executed to extend the term through June 30, 2026; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Amendment No. 2 increased the contract amount by $150,000; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Parties desire to amend the Agreement to extend through June 30, 2028, and <br />increase the amount by $150,000 for a total not to exceed amount of $400,000; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the amendment will be funded from existing budget appropriations resulting in no <br />impact to the General Fund undesignated fund balance; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said amendment. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE that said <br />amendment to the agreement is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is authorized. <br /> <br />Introduced by Councilmember Victor Aguilar and passed and adopted this 8th day of June 2026 by <br />the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmember J. Aguilar, V. Aguilar, Boldt, Bowen, Simon, Viveros-Walton, and (7) <br />Mayor González <br /> <br />NOES: None (0) <br /> <br />ABSENT: None (0) <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> Sarah K.
