When serious complaints such as harassment, discrimination, or retaliation are <br />raised, it is essential that they are addressed promptly, fairly, and transparently. The City will <br />occasionally retain external firms to conduct workplace investigations to ensure a fair, impartial, <br />and credible process that is independent from internal personnel and eliminates potential <br />conflicts of interest. <br />HR Law Consultants provides a wide range of workplace investigation services and specializes <br />in complex investigations. The firm’s principal, Jane Kow, has practiced employment law and <br />provided human resources consulting services for employers for over 25 years. She is highly <br />qualified in handling sensitive workplace matters and brings specialized knowledge of <br />employment law and investigative procedures. <br />Legal Analysis <br />The consultant has agreed to the terms of the contract . <br />Financial Impacts <br />This Council action will not impact fund balance.
