Councilmember Simon arrrived at 7:01 p.m. <br />Aguilar Jr., Simon, González III, Bowen, Viveros-Walton, BoldtPresent6 - <br />AzevedoAbsent1 - <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS2. <br />Mayor González acknowledged that San Leandro sits within the traditional homeland of <br />the Halkin - a Chochenyo Ohlone and Bay Mewuk-speaking people. Because of the <br />strength and determination of their ancestors and elders, the Halkin people continue to <br />live and thrive in contemporary San Leandro and surrounding areas. He recognized <br />their enduring connection to this land, and expressed respect for their cultures, <br />histories, and ongoing contributions, including their role as traditional stewards of this <br />land. <br />REPORT ON CLOSED SESSION ACTIONS TAKEN3. <br />City Attorney Richard Pio Roda stated that no reportable actions were taken in Closed <br />Session, but direction was provided to staff. <br />RECOGNITIONS4. <br />4a.25-201 Proclamation Declaring November 2025 as Native American Heritage <br />Month <br />This matter was Presented <br />CONSENT CALENDAR5. <br />Comments were made by two people. <br />Approval of the Consent Calendar <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Aguilar, Jr., seconded by <br />Councilmember Viveros-Walton, to Approve the Consent Calendar.
