IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2026-015 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE PURCHASE <br />AGREEMENT(S) WITH SAN LEANDRO FORD AND PRIORITY ONE FOR THE PURCHASE AND <br />OUTFITTING OF FIVE (5) POLICE VEHICLES, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $450,000 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City replaces police vehicles according to a replacement schedule; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Staff recommend procuring five (5) Police Ford Interceptor vehicles, including the <br />equipment needed to outfit each vehicle ; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Staff included local dealerships in the competitive bid process, receiving four responsive <br />bids, including one bid from San Leandro Ford for the purchase of five Ford Interceptors, with the total <br />amount of the purchase for all five (5) vehicles, including delivery, not to exceed $293,748.40; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the outfitting of the new vehicles will be completed by Priority One, which is under <br />contract for fleet maintenance and outfitting; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the estimated cost to outfit all five (5) vehicles according to Police Department <br />specifications is$144,007.23; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, all associated funding is included in the Adopted Budget in Account 690-16-003-7510. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: <br /> <br />That the five replacement vehicles are approved for purchase and outfitting (excluding <br />computers) to police department specifications, for a sum not to exceed $450,000; and <br /> <br />That the City Manager is authorized to execute the said purchase agreement(s) with San Leandro <br />Ford and Priority One and all other documents and take all other actions necessary to execute the <br />purchasing and outfitting of the vehicles. <br /> <br />Introduced by Councilmember Aguilar and passed and adopted this 17th day of February 2026, by <br />the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmember Aguilar, Boldt, Bowen, Simon, Viveros-Walton, Mayor González (6) <br /> <br />NOES: None (0) <br /> <br />ABSENT: None (0) <br /> <br />ATTEST: ____________________________ <br /> Sarah K.
