IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2026-040 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS REQUIRED TO <br />PURCHASE A REPLACEMENT DM47E DIGGER DERRICK TRUCK FROM ALTEC, INC. FOR THE PUBLIC <br />WORK DEPARTMENT FOR A TOTAL COST OF $392,975 AND TO AUTHORIZE AN INCREASE IN <br />CONTRACT PRICE OF UP TO $47,000 TO ACCOUNT FOR ANY CHANGE IN PURCHASE PRICE DUE TO <br />MARKET VOLATILITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a quote for the purchase of a DM47E Digger Derrick Truck from Altec, Inc. has been <br />presented to this City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends the purchase of said vehicle; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, authorizing change orders to address volatile market conditions helps ensure the <br />purchase can proceed as planned in the event of fluctuations in vehicle pricing; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: <br /> <br />That the purchase of the vehicle listed on the quote from Altec, Inc. for the price listed is approved <br />and purchase of the equipment by the City Manager is authorized; and <br /> <br />That the City Manager or her designee is authorized to execute all documents to affect the intent <br />and purpose of this resolution; and <br /> <br />That the City Manager or her designee is authorized to spend an additional $47,000 in case prices <br />change due to market volatility. <br /> <br />Introduced by Councilmember James Aguilar and passed and adopted this 20th day of April 2026, <br />by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers J.
