IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2026-042 <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A NON- <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH UNIVAR SOLUTIONS USA LLC TO SUPPLY THE CITY’S <br />WATER POLLUTION CONTROL PLANT WITH 164,000 GALLONS OF SODIUM HYPOCHLORITE 12.5% <br />IN FISCAL YEAR 2026-2027 IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $630,000 <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro’s Water Pollution Control Plant uses sodium hypochlorite in <br />the wastewater treatment process; and <br />WHEREAS, the City is part of the Bay Area Chemicals Consortium to competitively bid for the <br />cost of chemicals; and <br />WHEREAS, Univar Solutions USA LLC had the lowest bid in the East Bay Region; and <br />WHEREAS, staff recommend entering into a contract with Univar Solutions USA LLC to supply <br />the City with up to 164,000 gallons of Sodium Hypochlorite 12.5% in FY 2027. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: <br />That said non-professional services agreement with Univar Solutions USA LLC for the supply of <br />sodium hypochlorite in an amount not to exceed $630,000 in Fiscal Year 2027 is hereby approved and <br />execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized. <br /> <br />Introduced by Councilmember James Aguilar and passed and adopted this 20th day of April 2026, <br />by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers J.
