IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2026-050 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO DECLARE EIGHTEEN (18) <br />VEHICLES ALONG WITH OTHER MISCELLANEOUS PIECES OF EQUIPMENT AND ITEMS AS SURPLUS <br />AND AUTHORIZE THE SALE OF SAID SURPLUS ASSETS AT PUBLIC AUCTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 1-6-500 of the San Leandro Municipal Code authorizes the City’s Purchasing <br />Agent to sell equipment that has become unsuitable or unnecessary for the City’s purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a list of eighteen (18) vehicles, other miscellaneous pieces of equipment and items <br />that are identified as no longer useful to City operations is presented to this Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, proceeds from the sale of vehicles and equipment will be returned to the Equipment <br />Maintenance Fund. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: <br /> <br />That the vehicles and equipment presented to Council are declared surplus; and <br /> <br />That following public notice as may be required by law and in accordance with Section 1-6-500 of <br />the San Leandro Municipal Code, the sale of eighteen (18) vehicles along with other miscellaneous <br />pieces of equipment and items at public auction by U.S. Auctions is approved and should be scheduled <br />for a date to be determined within 3 months of this action; and <br /> <br />That the City Manager is authorized to take all actions and execute all documents necessary to <br />effect the purpose and intent of this Resolution. <br /> <br />Introduced by Councilmember Victor Aguilar and passed and adopted this 4th day of May 2026, by <br />the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmember J. Aguilar, V. Aguilar, Boldt, Bowen, Simon, Viveros-Walton, and (7) <br /> Mayor González <br /> <br />NOES: None (0) <br /> <br />ABSENT: None (0) <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: ________________________________ <br /> Sarah K.
