IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2026-051 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT AND APPROPRIATE $100,000 OF <br />ADDITIONAL FEDERAL HIGHWAY SAFETY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (HSIP) FUNDS TO THE WICKS & <br />MANOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL UPGRADE, PROJECT NO. 2020.5620 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an Administering Agency State Agreement for Federal-aid Projects No. 04-5041F-15 <br />was entered into between the City of San Leandro and the State of California on June 19, 2017; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City was previously awarded a $323,910 Federal-aid grant from the Highway <br />Safety Improvement Program for the design and construction of the Wicks Boulevard and Manor <br />Intersection Traffic Signal Improvements Project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City was awarded an additional $100,000 Federal-aid grant from the Highway <br />Safety Improvement Program to offset additional costs associated with said project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends acceptance of said grant. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: <br /> <br />1. That the City Manager is authorized to accept the additional grant funding; and <br /> <br />2. That $100,000 in grant funds be appropriated to account number 150-3608 (revenue) and 150- <br />38-349-5240 (expenditure) to cover reimbursable expenditures related to the subject project. <br />Introduced by Councilmember Victor Aguilar and passed and adopted this 4th day of May 2026, by the <br />following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmember J.
