IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2026-057 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONSULTING <br />SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH INTERCARE HOLDINGS INSURANCE SERVICES, INC. FOR WORKERS’ <br />COMPENSATION THIRD PARTY CLAIMS ADMINISTRATION SERVICES FOR A THREE-YEAR TERM IN THE <br />AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $587,355, WITH AN OPTION TO EXTEND FOR TWO ADDITIONAL ONE-YEAR <br />TERMS IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $425,381 IF THE TWO ADDITIONAL ONE-YEAR EXTENSIONS <br />ARE EXERCISED BY THE CITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro requires a consulting services agreement to provide workers’ <br />compensation third-party claims administration services for its workers’ compensation program; and <br />WHEREAS, Intercare Holdings Insurance Services, Inc. was selected based on its qualifications <br />and experience to provide the required services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the agreement is for a three-year term with an amount not to exceed $587,355, with an <br />option to extend for two additional one-year terms in an amount not to exceed $425,381; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the scope of services and budget for these services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: <br /> <br />1. That the agreement is approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a <br />Consulting Services Agreement with Intercare Holdings Insurance Services, Inc. for workers’ <br />compensation third-party claims administration services for a three-year term, with two <br />optional one-year extensions; and <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is further authorized to approve and execute non-substantive revisions to the <br />agreement, subject to review and approval by the City Attorney. <br />Introduced by Councilmember Victor Aguilar and passed and adopted on this 18th day of May 2026 by <br />the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers J. Aguilar, V.
