<br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONSULTING
<br />SERVICES AGREEMENTS WITH 4LEAF, ACTIVE WAYZ, ALPHA CM, FREYER & LAURETA, HALEY &
<br />ALDRICH, MNS ENGINEERING, NCE, NINYO & MOORE, AND PCG FOR ON-CALL CIVIL
<br />ENGINEERING, CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT, AND INSPECTION CONSULTING SERVICES IN AN
<br />AMOUNT NOT -TO -EXCEED $1,500,000 WITHIN A THREE YEAR PERIOD WITH EACH FIRM
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is responsible for evaluating, planning, designing,
<br />procuring, integrating, and implementing a wide range of infrastructure projects throughout the City of
<br />San Leandro; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, recent significant demand for Public Works services requires that City supplement in-
<br />house resources by engaging qualified consultants to ensure timely and efficient delivery of projects;
<br />and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, Staff issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) seeking Civil Engineering Design,
<br />Construction Management, and Inspection consulting firms that can assist with all Public Works
<br />projects on as-needed basis; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, after reviewing over 20 proposals, Staff recommend that 4Leaf, Active Wayz, Alpha
<br />CM, Freyer & Laureta, Haley & Aldrich, MNS Engineering, NCE, Ninyo & Moore, and PCG should be
<br />individually retained to provide on-call consulting services in an amount not-to-exceed $1,500,000 each
<br />within a three-year period; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, Staff recommend that by the adoption of this Resolution the City Council approves
<br />each individual consulting service agreement at the not to exceed amount of $1,500,000 per agreement
<br />and authorize the City Manager to enter into Consulting Services Agreements between the City and each
<br />of the recommended consulting firms; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, a blanket purchase order will be requested for each individual consulting firm based
<br />on tasks assigned, with consultant costs being charged to specific projects, each with a designated
<br />appropriation; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, 4Leaf, Active Wayz, Alpha CM, Freyer & Laureta, Haley & Aldrich, MNS Engineering,
<br />NCE, Ninyo & Moore, and PCG have agreed to the terms of their individual contracts pending Council
<br />approval; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents of the agreements; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreements.

<br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
