IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2026-068 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPROPRIATION OF $250,000 IN THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND <br />FOR THE MONARCH BAY DRIVE BRIDGE ABUTMENT REPAIR, PROJECT NO. 2026.1020 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro did on April 7, 2022, enter into a cooperative agreement with <br />Alameda County Flood Control and Water Conservation District to include work on the Monarch Bay <br />Drive Bridge in the County’s project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Alameda County Flood Control and Water Conservation District did successfully <br />bid said project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said proposals were submitted to the City’s Public Works Director who has found the <br />proposal hereinafter mentioned to be fair and reasonable; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, to complete necessary repairs in a timely manner and avoid delays associated with <br />obtaining separate aquatic regulatory permits for the repairs, the City Council finds that providing the <br />appropriation is in the best interest of public safety and welfare. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: <br /> <br />That the appropriation of $250,000 in the Capital Improvement Fund (Fund 210) for the project and <br />purpose is approved; and <br /> <br />That the City Manager is authorized to take all actions and execute all documents necessary to effect the <br />purpose and intent of this Resolution. <br /> <br />Introduced by Councilmember James Aguilar and passed and adopted this 1st day of June 2026 by <br />the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmember J. Aguilar, V. Aguilar, Boldt, Bowen, Simon, Viveros-Walton, and (7) <br /> Mayor González <br /> <br />NOES: None (0) <br /> <br />ABSENT: None (0) <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> Sarah K.
