Skyline Engineering assessed the condition of the roofs
and developed an estimate of the cost to repair each. Several roofs were found in poor condition
and appropriate repairs and/or replacement was recommended. The Public Safety Building and
the Marina Community Center were determined to need attention as soon as possible. This
project is the first year of a multi-year program to repair and replace deficient roofs.

Analvsis

A Request for Proposal (RFP) was mailed to four roof consultants for design and construction
services. Two proposals were received by the RFP deadline on March 15,2007. The proposals
were evaluated and Skyline Engineering, Inc. was selected based on its extensive experience in
similar roofing projects and excellent references. In addition, its proposal was within the
Engineer's estimate.

Current City Council Policy

Not Applicable
