CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />The City Council observed a moment of silence in memory of Thomas Quadros, <br />Jeannie Hillery, and Bill Shaline, victims of the June 21, 2000 shooting in San <br />Leandro. <br /> <br />A. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag <br /> <br />B. Roll Call <br /> <br />PRESENT: Council Members Galvan, Glaze, Grant, Loeffler, Lothrop, <br />Nardine; Mayor Young <br /> <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />2. PRESENTATIONSfRECOGNITIONS <br /> <br />The Mayor noted she would be presenting a Commendation prepared for William <br />Dietzman, who will be honored on Friday at the Veterans' Memorial Hall with the <br />National Order of Legion of Honor from France. She noted Mr. Dietzman is 101 <br />years old and served on the USS Harrisburg during WW I. <br /> <br />3. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Public Comments are limited to 5 minutes per person, for a total time period of one <br />hour. When you address the City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and <br />submit it to the City Clerk so the order of speakers may be determined and an official <br />record of names and addresses obtained. The public is invited to make any comments <br />related to Agenda items, or other items of public interest, at this time. <br /> <br />A. Elaine deColigny, addressed the City Council and urged support for their loan <br />guaranty for the Bessie Coleman Transitional Housing at the former Alameda <br />Naval Air Station. <br />
