This Public Draft TOD Strategy is the result of 10 Citizen <br />Advisory Committee meetings, 3 Community meetings, a Developer Symposium, City of San <br />Leandro staff input and input from the Technical Advisory Committee (comprised of staff from the <br />Metropolitan Transportation Commission, BART, AC Transit, Caltrans and ABAG). The City <br />Council received a copy of this report as part of the City Council work session packet. The major <br />findings of the report will be presented in a PowerPoint presentation. <br /> <br />A Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) will be released for a 45-day public review period in <br />early June. A public hearing on the DEIR will be held by the Planning Commission during the 45- <br />day review period. A Final EIR will be prepared following the 45-day review period to respond to <br />comments on the DEIR. Zoning Code and General Plan Amendments to implement the Downtown <br />TOD Strategy will be prepared and presented to the Board of Zoning Adjustments and Planning <br />Commission this summer. The Final EIR, the Downtown TOD Strategy and the implementing <br />Zoning Code, Zoning Map and General Plan Amendments will be taken to the Planning <br />Commission for recommendation and the City Council for final action in late summer. <br /> <br />Presentations on the Public Draft TOD Strategy will be made to the Planning Commission, Board of <br />Zoning Adjustments, Library-Historical Commission, Recreation and Parks Commission, Senior <br />Commission, Chamber of Commerce and various Homeowner Associations within the TOD Study <br />Area. The Public Draft TOD Strategy is on the City of San Leandro website. <br />
