Review of San Leandro Marina Dredging - Past, Present, and Future <br /> <br />City Manager Jermanis introduced Engineering and Transportation Director Udemezue and <br />City Engineer Joseph who presented detailed information on dredging including types of <br />dredging, material disposal, history and costs. A copy ofthe powerpoint presentation is <br />attached. <br /> <br />The Committee asked the following questions which were answered by staff. <br />· What is the possibility of piggy-backing our disposal on a Port dredging project? <br />The dredging would be considered two separate projects, so it is not possible. <br />· Is the City still required to dredge the channel to eight feet for EBDA 's pipe? No. <br />· Why is the channel now dredged to seven feet, instead of six? Federal requirements <br />changed. <br />· Could AICo Fire use the boat launch ramp for rescue operations ifharbor <br />operations discontinue? Yes. <br />
