IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2005-005 (1009/1024/1099) <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE GENERAL PLAN LAND USE MAP <br />FROM LOW DENSITY AND GENERAL COMMERCIAL DESIGNATION TO <br />MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL FOR THE SUBJECT PROPERTIES <br />KNOWN AS 14953, 14969, 14981-14985 WASHINGTON AVENUE <br />(ADJACENT TO THE INTERSTATE 880 FREEWAY AND <br />OPPOSITE SPRINGLAKE DRIVE); <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NUMBERS <br />77B-1120-1-1, 77B-1120-4, 77B-1120-5, & 77B-1120-6 <br />Recitals <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Leandro, after public hearings duly and <br />properly held in compliance with the Zoning Code of the City of San Leandro, has determined that <br />the public necessity, convenience and general welfare require amending the General Plan Land Use <br />Map fi-oin General Commercial (Sanact/Roto-Rooter site) and Low Density Residential (Bammer <br />and Pena sites) to Medium Density Residential for the subject properties known as 14953, 14969, <br />14981-14985 Washington Avenue; Alameda County Assessor's Parcel NLimbers 77B-1120-1-1, <br />77B-1 120-4, 778-1120-5, & 77B-1120-6. <br />WHEREAS, the amendment to the General Plan Land Use Map Figure 3-2 within the <br />Cify's General Plan, specific to the properties referenced above, are shown herewith in this <br />Ordinance, has been reviewed by the City Council, and they are familiar with the contents thereof. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does ORDAIN as <br />follows: <br />Section 1: That properties referenced within this Ordinance, as described il~ the General <br />Plan is hereby amended to include Medium Density Residential Development, which is intended <br />for attached housing types such as townhouses as a potential use. <br />
