IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2005-019 <br />AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ARTICLE 6 <br />AND ADDING ARTICLE 6 TO CHAPTER 5 <br />OF TITLE VII OF THE SAN LEANDRO MUNICIPAL CODE, <br />ELECTRICAL -GENERAL PROVISIONS <br />The City Council of the City of San Leandro does ORDAIN as follows: <br />(1023/1076) <br />Section 1. Article 6 of Chapter 5 of Title VII of the San Leandro Municipal Code is <br />hereby repealed. <br />Section 2. Article 6 is hereby added to Chapter 5 of Title VII of the San Leandro <br />Municipal Code to read as follows: <br />"ARTICLE 6. ELECTRICAL -GENERAL PROVISIONS <br />Section 7-5-600: PERMIT REQUIRED. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, <br />corporation, public utility or other entity to construct, install, alter, or repair, or knowingly to allow <br />any other person to construct, install, alter, or repair any electrical wiring or equipment in the City of <br />San Leandro contrary to the provisions of this Chapter, or without having first obtained a permit <br />therefor from the Building Official of said City, except as hereinafter provided. <br />Section 7-5-605: APPLICATION FOR PERMIT. All applications for permits for the <br />installation, alteration and use of electrical materials and equipment shall be in such form as shall be <br />prescribed and provided by the Building Official. The application for each such permit shall contain <br />the name of the owner or user of the electrical wiring or equipment to be installed, altered or <br />changed, the location of such work by correct address, and the name and address of the person, firm <br />or corporation performing said work.
