IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2004 -020 (1203) <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2, TITLE 2 <br />OF THE SAN LEANDRO MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO <br />BUSINESS LICENSE ENFORCEMENT <br />The City Council of the City of San Leandro does ORDAIN as follows: <br />Section 1. Section 2-2-220(i) of the San Leandro Municipal Code is amended to read <br />as follows: <br />"(i) Firearms Dealer shall mean a person whose business substantially consists of the <br />selling, transferring, or leasing, or advertising for sale, transfer, or lease, or offering or exposing <br />for sale, transfer, or lease, any firearm capable of being concealed upon the person as defined by <br />the Penal Code of the State of California." <br />Section 2. Anew Section 2-2-303 is added to the San Leandro Municipal Code to <br />read as follow: <br />" 2-2-303 SAME LOCATION <br />A separate license must be obtained for each separate business on the same premises. <br />Each license shall authorize the licensee to transact and carry on only the business licensed <br />thereby at the location or in the manner designated in that license; provided, however, that <br />warehouses and distributing plants used in connection with, and incidental to, a business licensed <br />under this Chapter are not deemed to be separate businesses." <br />Section 3. Section 2-2-310 of the San Leandro Municipal Code is amended to read as <br />follows: <br />" 2-2-310 DISPLAY. <br />Every business required to obtain a license under this Chapter must display the license in <br />a conspicuous place upon the premises where the business is conducted. If the licensee does not <br />maintain a fixed place of business within the City or uses a vehicle in the business, licensee shall <br />carry proof of license on their person at all times when engaged in business within the City of <br />San Leandro and shall display a proof of license at the request of any City Officer or employee <br />or any customer or prospective customer." <br />Section 4. Section 2-2-325 of the San Leandro Municipal Code is amended to read as <br />follows: <br />" 2-2-325 LICENSE OR PERMIT. <br />The Finance Director shall not issue any license under this Chapter for the conduct of any <br />business for which another license or permit is required by law until the applicant has first <br />
