<br />IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />ORDINANCE N0.2003 - 003 (2557) <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE COMMUNITY PRESERVATION ORDINANCE, <br />TITLE 3, CHAPTER 3-1 OF THE SAN LEANDRO MUNICIPAL CODE <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Subsection (d)(1) of Section 3-1-200 of Title 3, Chapter 3-1 of the San Leandro <br />Municipal Code is hereby amended as follows. <br />(1) Trash, garbage or refuse cans, bins, boxes or other such containers stored in view <br />of the street, unless stored in a sideyard location flush with or further distant from the street then <br />that portion of the front wall of the residence or main structure nearest to such container, and so <br />long as the lid for such container is closed. However, nothing in this section shall be construed <br />as prohibiting the placement of such receptacles adjacent to the street for pick-up by the City's <br />franchised waste hauler on normal trash and recycling pick-up days, nor prohibit the outdoor <br />storage of any type of trash receptacle if said receptacle is screened from view from the street or <br />any public right of way in a manner approved by the Zoning Enforcement Official or his/her <br />designee. <br />SECTION 2. <br />This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after adoption and the title thereof shall be <br />published once prior to adoption. <br />Introduced by Council Member Stephens on this 18th day of February, <br />2003, and passed to print by the following called vote: <br />Members of the Council: <br />Ayes: Council Members $adger, Glaze, Grant, Nardine, Santos, Stephens; <br />Mayor Young <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: None <br />( 7 ) <br />(o) <br />(o) <br />Attest: y^ l~~-~1 <br />Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />
