Continued Discussion of Renovation/Relocation of Burrell Field <br />City Manager Jermanis referred to the previous discussions about the condition and maintenance <br />of the site and joint-use concept, and the size of the field and land available for potential <br />development. He stated that, in speaking with a developer, there was a question on the desire for <br />a multi-purpose field to be developed. The district commented that there was concern for the <br />neighborhoods surrounding Muir Middle School, should any fields be relocated to that location. <br />Board Members Cutter and Hague commented on the acreage needed for amulti-use facility. <br />Mr. Jermanis stated that around eleven acres could be used. Council Member Grant asked about <br />the proposed changes to the configuration from the previous meeting. There was general <br />discussion regarding the scheduling cycle and use of the baseball fields and Burrell Field. <br />Mayor Santos commented on the recently built Castro Valley High School stadium and funding <br />mechanism through a foundation. He emphasized the need to make a decision regarding Burrell <br />Field. Mr. Jermanis agreed that a decision must be made and there may be a desire to bring the <br />issue before the community related to funding the improvements. Mayor Santos asked if they <br />
