IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />ORDINANCE N0.2009-001 (1035) <br />ORDINANCE ADDING CHAPTER 21 TO TITLE III OF THE SAN LEANDRO MUNICIPAL <br />CODE, RELATING TO VERY HIGH FIRE HAZARD SEVERITY ZONES <br />The City Council of the City of San Leandro does ORDAIN as follows: <br />Section 1. Chapter 21 is hereby added to Title III of the San Leandro Municipal Code <br />to read as follows: <br />"CHAPTER 21 <br />VERY HIGH FIRE SEVERITY ZONES <br />Section 3-21-100: TITLE <br />This Chapter shall be known as the Fire Severity Map Ordinance. <br />Section 3-21-110: PURPOSE <br />The purpose of this Ordinance is to designate those areas within the San Leandro City limits that <br />the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection has determined, under California <br />Government Code Section 51179, are Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zones (VHFHS Zones). <br />Section 3-21-120: EFFECT <br />Basic authorities and responsibilities for designated Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zones <br />(VHFHS Zones) are set forth in Government Code Section 51175 et seq. <br />Section 3-21-130: MAP <br />The map, prepared by the Fire Resource Assessment Program, California Department of Forestry <br />and Fire Protection labeled Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zones in the Local Response Area <br />(LRA) as prepared by CAL FIRE dated September 3, 2008, is on file at the Alameda County Fire <br />Department Prevention Office, the Office of the City Clerk, and at the Permit Center, all located <br />at 835 E. 14th Street, in San Leandro. Such map may from time to time be amended by <br />resolution of the City Council. <br />Section 3-21-140: Designation <br />The areas recommended as VHFHS Zones as set forth on the Very High Fire Hazard Severity <br />Map are designated as VHFHS Zones." <br />
