Hollister <br />City Manager/Executive Dir. <br />FROM: Luke Sims, Community Development Director f~'S/~ <br />VIA: Cynthia Battenberg Sus Development Manager <br />BY: Elmer Penaranda, Senior Development Specialist <br />SUBJECT PROJECT/PROJECT DESCRIPTION: <br />MATTER OF THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE SAN LEANDRO TRANSPORTATION <br />MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION AND THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO AND THE <br />REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO FOR THE <br />MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION OF THE WEST SAN LEANDRO SHUTTLE <br />AND BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT <br />SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATION <br />It is recommended that the City Council and Redevelopment Agency adopt the attached <br />resolutions for the San Leandro Transportation Management Organization (SLTMO) to continue <br />management and administration of the West San Leandro Shuttle (LINKS) and Business <br />Improvement District (BID). <br />• Resolution of the City Council of the City of San Leandro Approving an Agreement with <br />the San Leandro Transportation Management Organization for the Management and <br />Administration of the West San Leandro Shuttle and Business Improvement District. <br />• Resolution of the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Leandro Approving an <br />Agreement with the San Leandro Transportation Management Organization for the <br />Management and Administration of the West San Leandro Shuttle and Business <br />Improvement District. <br />BACKGROUND <br />Analysis~ <br />The original agreement to form the SLTMO and operate the LINKS Shuttle as a partnership <br />between the Redevelopment Agency and the Industrial Roundtable was approved in July 2001. <br />Subsequently, after the formation of the SLTMO, the Agency entered into an agreement in July <br />2003 and again in October 2004 to continue Shuttle operations and allow for partial Agency <br />funding of the program. The agreement now needs to be revised to reflect the added <br />responsibilities that City staff performs to support the SLTMO (see page 2, Section 4 of the <br />
