Roll Call <br />PRESENT: Council Members Galvan, Glaze, Grant, Loe$ler, Nardine; <br />Mayor Young <br />ABSENT: Council Member Lothrop <br />2. PRESENTATIONS <br />A. Proclamation Declaring May 12, 1999, As "Day of the Teacher" in San Leandro <br />(in recognition and honor of the contributions teachers make to this community). <br />Mary Rodriguez, from San Leandro Unified School District, and Donna Backnel, <br />along with Steven Ow, from San Lorenzo Unified School District, accepted the <br />Proclamations. <br />The Mayor recognized, on behalf of the City Council, all teachers in the <br />community, including private, parochial, kindergarten, pre-school, and child-care <br />teachers. <br />
