CALL TO ORDER <br />A. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag <br />B. Roll Call <br />PRESENT: Council Members Galvan, Glaze, Loeffler, Lothrop, Polvorosa, <br />Young; Mayor Corbett <br />ABSENT: None <br />2. PUBLIC COMMENTS/OPEN FORUM <br />Public Comments are limited to 5 minutes per person. The public is invited <br />to make any comments related to Agenda items, or other items of public <br />interest, at this time. <br />A. Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, addressed the Council regarding the <br />Senior Citizen appeals that were filed regarding Wal-Mart and mandatory <br />filing fees, which he feels was a violation of public process. He also <br />questioned the filing deadlines for both the Zoning Appeal and the Lot- <br />Line-Adjustment Appeal. <br />B. Darlene Evans, 361 Bristol Boulevard, addressed the Council regarding <br />the lack of enforcement personnel in the City for animal control and <br />that more information should be available to the public regarding code <br />enforcement. <br />3. PUBLIC HEARING <br />A. Matter of Appeal by Daniel L. Cardozo of Adams Broadwell & Joseph. <br />Representing United Food ~ Commercial Workers' Union. Local 870. and <br />Marla Donati, et al., of AR-97-16, of the Planning Commission's decision <br />to uphold the Administrative Decision of the Zoning Enforcement <br />Official, Approving a Zoning Application for Wal-Mart at West Gate <br />Center, 1933 Davis Street, San Leandro; and Appeal of AR-97-17, of the <br />Planning Commission's decision to uphold the Administrative Decision of <br />the City Engineer, Approving a Lot Line Adjustment for Monarch Ventures, <br />Applicant, at West Gate Center, 1933 Davis Street and 1944 Williams <br />Street, San Leandro. <br />
