IN THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION N0.2009-019 RDA (3110/3117) RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2008-024 RDA, SECTION 2., TO INCREASE THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE REDEVELOPMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE (RAC) FROM 10 TO 12 MEMBERS, ADDING TWO AT-LARGE RESIDENTIAL REPRESENTATIVES WHEREAS, on October 20, 2008, the Redevelopment Agency adopted Resolution No. 2008-024 RDA, approving the voluntary formation of the Redevelopment Advisory Committee (RAC) to serve all of the project areas including West San Leandro/MacArthur Boulevard, Alameda County-City of San Leandro, Plaza Redevelopment Project Areas; and WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency wishes to foster active public participation in the redevelopment process by the formation of a voluntary committee for citizen and property owner involvement; and WHEREAS, the Agency Chair and staff received applications from well qualified candidates for residential representatives for the committee; and WHEREAS, the City Council Business and Housing Development Committee as recommended by the Agency Chair and staff recommends that the Agency amend RDA Resolution No. 2008-024 to increase the membership of the RAC from ten (10) to twelve (12) to add two additional at-large members to the composition of the RAC; and NOW, THEREFORE, THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO, CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: That Section 2 of Resolution No. 2008-024 RDA is hereby amended as follows: Section 2. The RAC will consist of tt~r-(~A) twelve (12) members, made up of community stakeholders -one property owner, one business owner and one resident who lives within 500 feet of each of the three Project Areas, one stakeholder representing the housing community (i.e., non-profit housing agency, multi-family property owner, or multi-family residential developer) and two additional resident stakeholders who live within 500 feet of one of the three Project Areas.
