Community Relations
Representative Kathy Ornelas outlined the proposed changes to the Weed Abatement Ordinance,
and Community Compliance Specialist Bill Baptista commented on the reasons for the various
changes. The changes to the ordinance would require that only two Notices of Violation be issued
before the City seeks abatement, and cases would be heard by a hearing body composed of three
managers rather than by the Board of Zoning Adjustments (BZA).
