c ,~ IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO.2001~- 7 (2839 ) RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO APPROVING COOPERATION AGREEMENT WITH THE SAN LEANDRO HILLSIDE GEOLOGIC HAZARD ABATEMENT DISTRICT WHEREAS, on November 20, 2000, the City Council of the City of San Leandro adopted Resolution No. 2000-172, approving the formation of a geologic hazard abatement district for the San Leandro Hillside area ("the San Leandro Hillside Geologic Abatement District" or "District") and appointing itself to act as the Board of Directors ("the Board"); and WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Resources Code Sections 26584 and 26585, the Board of Directors of the District must appoint a Clerk and a Treasurer of the District and pursuant to Section 26586, the Board may appoint other. officers of the District and delegate thereto such powers as may be appropriate in the circumstances; and WHEREAS, on January 16, 2001, the City Council of the City of San Leandro, acting as the District Board, adopted Resolution No. 2001..1 appointing City staff to serve as officers for the District; and WHEREAS, the District will compensate the City of San Leandro for the use of staff and other resources as provided in the attached Cooperation Agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does resolve as follows: 1. The City Council of the City of San Leandro hereby approves the attached Cooperation Agreement between the District and the City of San Leandro detailing the terms under which City staff may serve the District and requiring the District to compensate the City of San Leandro for staff time and other resources expended on the District's behalf.
