<br />IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION N0.2001-13 (2 465 / 1219 / 1250 ) <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT A <br />GRANT APPLICATION FOR STATE TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT <br />PROGRAM (STIP) FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,187,000 FOR <br />FISCAL YEAR 2001-2002 FOR THE MARINA BOULEVARD WIDENING PROJECT <br />AND THE MARINA BOULEVARD ON-RAMP PROJECT <br />Recitals <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro has authority under California Government Code <br />Sections et. seq. for the exercise of certain powers to improve roadways; <br />WHEREAS, SB 45 reformed the State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) <br />(Chapter 97-062, October 3, 1997) and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to SB 45, and the regulations promulgated thereunder, eligible <br />project sponsors wishing to receive State Transportation Improvement Program grants for a <br />project shall submit an application first with the appropriate metropolitan transportation planning <br />organization (MPO), for review and inclusion in the MPO's Regional Transportation <br />Improvement Program (RTIP); and <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) is the MPO for the San <br />Francisco Bay Region; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro is an eligible project sponsor for State <br />Transportation Improvement Program funds; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro wishes to submit a grant application to MTC for <br />funds from the State Transportation Improvement Program in fiscal year 2001-2002 for the <br />following projects: <br />
