1N THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />AND THE SAN LEANDRO REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2001- 15 and RESOLUTION N0.2001-1 (sLxA) (1123 ) <br />A JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />AND THE SAN LEANDRO REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br />RECOGNIZING THE HISTORIC VALUE OF THE <br />YOKOTA NURSERY IN SAN LEANDRO <br />WHEREAS, the Yokota Nursery was started by Masao and Yuriko Yokota in San Leandro <br />in 1945, and the Yokota Nursery became well known for its growing of quality roses; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro and the San Leandro Redevelopment Agency <br />recognize the economic and historic value a working nursery provides the community of San <br />Leandro, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro and the San Leandro <br />Redevelopment Agency do RESOLVE as follows: <br />That the City of San Leandro and the San Leandro Redevelopment Agency commend the <br />Yokota family for their contributions to the City and its agricultural heritage. The City and Agency <br />respect the desire of the Yokota family to continue growing wholesale roses, should they wish to do <br />so.
