1 <br /> IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2000 - 01 (2575) <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE VII, CHAPTER 11, <br /> OF THE SAN LEANDRO MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE <br /> DEVELOPMENT FEE FOR STREET IMPROVEMENTS <br /> The City Council of the City of San Leandro does ORDAIN as follows: <br /> Section 1. The City Council adopted by Ordinance No. 88 -023 the Development Fee for <br /> Street Improvements. <br /> Section 2. The City Council finds that the following amendments to the Development <br /> Fee for Street Improvements Ordinance are necessary to provide for greater flexibility to <br /> fund street improvements intended to improve safety. <br /> Section 3. Section 7 -11 -105, sections (g) through (i) of the San Leandro Municipal Code <br /> are hereby amended to add the definition of Safety Project and shall read as follows: <br /> (g) SAFETY PROJECT. "Safety Projects" means any project that will <br /> increase the safety of motor vehicle drivers, pedestrians and bicyclists set <br /> forth in the circulation element of the General Plan or the Capital <br /> Improvement Plan. <br /> (h) SMALL PROJECTS. "Small Projects" means any project for which the <br /> required street improvement fee would be equal to or less than the fee for <br /> one general residential unit. <br /> (1) STREET IMPROVEMENT. "Street Improvement" includes but is not <br /> limited to the construction of our improvement to rights -of -way, traffic <br /> signals, overcrossings. interchanges, underpasses, curbs, gutters, <br /> sidewalks, pavement. and drainage improvements incidental to street <br /> improvements necessary to provide traffic circulation consistent with the <br /> Master Plan of City Streets. For the purpose of this definition street <br /> includes highway or road. <br /> 0) USE ENTITLEMENT. "Use Entitlement" means a conditional use <br /> permit, variance. amendment to the General Plan. rezoning ordinance or <br /> other discretionary approval for use or development of property ". <br /> • <br />
