• <br /> IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 99 - (1170) <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 11, CHAPTER 4, OF THE <br /> • SAN LEANDRO MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO UTILITY <br /> USER TAXES FOR TELEPHONE, ELECTRICAL, GAS AND <br /> CABLE TELEVISION SERVICE <br /> The City Council of the City of San Leandro does ORDAIN as follows: <br /> Section 1. The City Council finds that the following amendments to the Utility <br /> Users Tax Ordinance are necessary to keep the Ordinance current in light of changes . <br /> in the utility services industries. The changes do not increase the amount of the <br /> Utility Users Tax and do not expand the existing tax base. <br /> Section 2. Section 2- 4- 105(a) of the San Leandro Municipal Code is hereby <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> "(a) "Person" shall mean, without limitation, any natural individual, <br /> firm, trust, common law trust, estate, partnership of any kind, <br /> association, syndicate, club, joint stock company, joint venture, limited <br /> liability company, corporation (including foreign, domestic, and non- <br /> profit), municipal corporation (other than the City), municipal district, <br /> cooperative, or receiver, trustee, guardian or other representative <br /> appointed by order of any court." <br /> Section 3. Section 2- 4- 105(f) of the San Leandro Municipal Code is hereby amended <br /> to read as follows: <br /> "(f) "Service Supplier" shall mean any entity or person that provides <br /> telephone communication, electric, gas or CATV service to a user of <br /> such services within the city, and includes an entity or person required <br /> to collect or self - collect and remit a tax as imposed by this ordinance." <br /> Section 4. Section 2- 4- 105(i) of the San Leandro Municipal Code is hereby amended <br /> to read as follows: <br /> "(i) "Non - utility Service Supplier" shall mean: (a) a service supplier, <br /> • <br /> • <br />
